Yash Raj Films has officially announced that the highly anticipated sequel to the 2019 blockbuster ‘War’, titled ‘War 2’, will hit theaters on August 14, 2025, coinciding with the Independence Day weekend. This marks the sixth installment in the YRF Spy Universe. Reprising his role as agent Kabir, Hrithik Roshan will be joined by the Telugu superstar Jr NTR, who plays the villain. The movie, directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Aditya Chopra, ‘War 2’ is expected to take the action-packed spy thriller genre to new heights.
The announcement of the release date comes as a welcome relief to fans who have been eagerly awaiting the sequel ever since the post-credits scene of ‘Tiger 3’ teased Kabir’s return.
